The Red Mountain area covers north east Mesa above McDowell Road, a mix of eighties and nineties subdivisions with a good number of pools and mature landscaping. Pool equipment failures and irrigation line breaks near the house are a regular source of calls here.
Water that comes from outside and gets under the slab edge behaves differently to an interior leak. It wicks up the exterior wall base and shows itself as a damp baseboard rather than a puddle, so the job is metered drying rather than extraction of anything you can see.
In August the same walls take it from the other direction. Storms coming off the Salt River side push water across low yards and into garages, which is monsoon flood cleanup, and any roof leak from that night usually shows up on a ceiling two or three days later.
